Please read the following emotional and inspiring words from Laura Carpenter, the mother of sadly departed 4 years old Leukaemia sufferer Kye Carpenter Mark......
"Its ok to cry it's ok not to be ok but when your hurting no one really understands how you feel unless you have walked the same path....
When you wake up and see everyone is living their life normally it makes you feel sad....
You swallow back the tears until your alone...
I would give anything to have my son back so when your sitting there moaning about worthless things remember there are people and children still fighting this disease and even passing away and their families are so distraught.
Remember when you didn't sign that petition or you didn't re-broadcast to the whole world remember you could have made the difference in the space of a minute or two."
Thanks
This is Orin Lewis OBE and on behalf of Charmaine Green, the mother of little Nevaeh who is battling against Leukaemia, I am asking you all to please sign this petition and then get as many other people (family and friends) via Facebook, Twitter, Email and other Social Media to follow your example.
There are many parents of children backing this campaign. It takes 2 minutes, is free, and could be the difference between life & death. It your chance to stand up and help make changes. Are you in or out? Please sign people as we NEED 100,000 signatures by March 11th!! We really can do that if we pull together!! So far we have 61 days left, and at this present rate we will need 1640 signatures per day to make this happen. Are u with us?
The following words are from Charmaine Green.
Please sign this petition. We are a group of Oncology Mum's. The thing that's brought us close together is what's contained in some of your nightmares. Our children all have Cancer.
We are petitioning the Government for more awareness, funding and support for childhood sufferers and their families. We want to help get changes made for past present and future sufferers.
We need awareness to be as big as the likes of Breast Cancer. Sometimes getting that diagnosis early is the difference between life and death. We lose too many children each day through late diagnosis.
The medicine's these children get often makes them sicker than the actual cancer does. Compared to other countries, such as Germany and USA for example, our medications and treatments are quite dated. Sometimes the UK cannot give you the treatment to get a cure and many have to fundraise to go abroad to receive life saving treatment. We need more research in to newer treatments, procedures and medicines.
Support is something many of us have not felt like we have had much of. Most of our support has come from each other.
We want the Government to look at these three things and make the changes we need.
Childhood cancer is so taboo in this Country. Whilst people don't want to hear about it, it prevents others from talking about it, but it happens and can happen to anyone. None of us are immune, it does not run in families, cannot be caught and questions like those still being asked proves the need for awareness in the UK to be greater.
Please, please sign and help to make a difference. It takes 2 minutes to sign and your signature could help save lives.
Thank you
Charmaine Green
(Mother of 4 years old Leukaemia patient, Nevaeh Green)
