What’s worse than having Leukaemia?
Being Black and having Leukaemia
We’re all the same underneath aren’t we?
Not when it comes to Leukaemia
How many leukaemia patients die because they're black?
If you’re unlucky enough to get leukaemia
We hope you are lucky enough to be white
So what…if you are Black or Mixed race?
It’s shocking but it’s true, your chances of finding a lifesaving bone marrow donor ARE much more worse if you’re BLACK
…because there are 24 times more white people than black people on UK bone marrow registers.
Have Your Say
We want to better understand the huge increase in apathy and reluctance of the public, starting with the Black & Mixed Race community. We urge people from these communities to have their say and submit your thoughts in a short opinion poll.
Are you aware of the issue?
Are you bothered?
Is this a priority concern for you today?
We must understand people’s motivations and act now to try and prevent the lack of donors having a detrimental impact on the lives of those sufferers in urgent need.
