Breaking Boundaries are now OFFICALLY 1st in the Team League as a £10 donation via a twitter user now looks like we've just squeezed past Get Kid's Going into pole position for the Xmas and New Year holiday period (judging by total including gift aid)
Gold Challenge have now officially confirmed this as the League table was updated on the 2nd Jan 2012.

Breaking Boundaries WON the Gold Challenge competition of raising the most between 1st - 20th December midday (£600) and as a result secured a lane to race 100m in the Gold Challenge Olympic Games at the Olympic Park Stadium plus 3 guest passes (one of which will be given away to one lucky person who sponsored us).
I'm sooooo excited I wanna SCREAM sooooo bad but I am in an open office environment so will have to maintain my cool until I get home (AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) oh well a virtual one will do!!!
We have now raised £1,552.43 excluding gift aid

We are 'Breaking Boundaries', a team of mixed genders and fitness abilities that have come together to Complete The 5 Sport Olympic Gold Challenge, a chance for us all to experience an olympic sports whilst raising money for our chosen charity, The ACLT. The members of our team are Denese Hart, Danielle Watson, Marvin Bennett, Samuel Abdullahi, Paul Clare, Maria Akinde, Joeanne Pelle, Eke Mba and Anthony Cox, are raising money for the ACLT - African Caribbean Leukaemia Trust by taking part in the Gold Challenge. If you are not aware, your tissue and blood type is related to your ethnic origin.

I am extremely proud to announce that both ACLT Gold Challenge Teams ‘UKBA Olympians' and ‘Breaking Boundaries' are representing the ACLT in great style as we are both make the Top 10 Highest Fundraisers (including gift aid) of Teams taking on the Gold Challenge.
UKBA Olympians are currently 6th and we Breaking Boundaries are just behind them in 8th place. We are on a mission to raise HUGE funds for ACLT & need Your Help in making us reach our 1st fundraising target of £1,000 by 31st Dec 2011...

The proof is in the pudding that HARD WORK Does Indeed PAY OFF!!! My team Breaking Boundaries are 8th highest Team fundraisers taking part in The Gold Challenge. A great accomplishment.
It's fair to say that's pretty good going and if we keep up the AMAZING WORK, both teams could be rewarded by having team members being the first people EVER to race 100m at the Olympic Park Stadium in April 2012 as one of the top 50 fundraisers. We have already completed a 10k Race, Kayaking and the 1st of two Boxing Sessions with Lesley Sackey and her team, Track & Field & Wheelchair Basketball. We have also accumilated 408.15km between us and are on target to reach our 2012km target before the Olympic Games.
Next up are Trampolining and 2nd Boxing session with Lesley Sackey.
The loss of little Kye Carpenter-Mark has made me 1000% more determined to encourage people within our community to sign up and be a life saver whilst raising vital funds to ensure ACLT Continue their life saving work!!!
