‘Spit & Commit’ Be the ONE to make a difference today!
The ACLT calls out to Londoners to make a difference now and register to support 2 year old Nevaeh Green with the New Simple, Quick & Easy Saliva Test!
2 year old Nevaeh Leonie Green was born on November 13th 2007, after a normal pregnancy and delivery.
Nevaeh has two elder siblings a sister, Kyra & brother Trenae and we live very happily in Croydon, Surrey.
Before her diagnosis of acute lymphoblastic leukaemia (ALL) Nevaeh was a normal healthy happy two year old. She’s friendly, bubbly, Independent and articulate, which in fact has been a godsend as its helped her to describe exactly how she's feeling, which I think helped to get an early diagnosis of the leukaemia disease.
Nevaeh attended the Mulberry Kindergarten in South Norwood where she has many friends. She loved her teachers and nursery life as a whole. At the beginning of November last year Nevaeh had swine flu, she never really fully recovered and at the beginning of December Nevaeh started to have what I later found out to be bone pain.
Initially I was told she had an irritable hip, then juvenile arthritis then came the biggest shock and her eventual diagnosis, Nevaeh has leukaemia.
It was diagnosed on New Year’s Eve last year. The definite and final diagnosis of ALL was given after a bone marrow aspiration on the 5th January 2010.
It has been a huge shock to both family and close friends, something we still haven’t come to terms with. Nevaeh is such a character and I can only believe she has this disease because she is very special person and has it in her to make a difference and help others. We believe with all our hearts that Nevaeh will make a full recovery and go on to live a normal happy life.
We would like to ask anyone and everyone who has taken the time to read our story to please consider registering as a potential bone marrow donor and a blood donor. One day you could be our little girl’s life saver.
In support of Nevaeh and as a lasting tribute to dear Imogin Appiah, we asked the public to register as a blood and bone marrow donor at Whitgift Shopping Centre, Unit 0008-0009 (Opposite Marks & Spencer’s within the Whitgift Shopping Centre), Central Croydon CR0 1UT on Saturday 27th February 2010.
It's not too late, YOU can make a difference TODAY... It’s quick, its easy and now it only requires a small saliva test to become a potential life-saver
‘Spit & Commit’ Be the ONE to register and be a lifesaver.
