Binta’s Kilimanjaro Fundraising Trek

Dr Binta Sultan, Specialist Registrar in Public Health, has taken her fundraising one huge step further by climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in memory of her beloved mother Vimala. After recovering from a stem cell transplant, Vimala unfortunately passed away from pneumonia a month later.
Binta said ‘I remember how difficult it was to find a donor, eventually [we] found one in the USA.’ Binta felt compelled to help others and contacted the ACLT to raise awareness through a once in a life time experience.
